Statement of Faith

AURORA

Origin Latin
Meaning: 'The Dawn'

"We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts." 2 Peter 2: 19

Aurora Ministries officially began on November 3, 2013. This was in response to God’s audible voice and several confirmatory prophecies from men and women of God. The pastors, Junior and Marcia Campbell faithfully sought the Holy Spirit’s guidance through prayer for several months before stepping out in faith. The meetings began with a small group in the living room of their home!

Aurora Ministries moved to its present location at 2 Bronstorph Square on Good Friday, April 3, 2015. God's powerful hand has caused us to persist in victory (Acts 5:38-39). The birth of Aurora Ministries demonstrates the power of God to bring to pass His divine will for our lives. We know God’s plan will become a reality once we are steadfast in faith, hope, love and obedient even in the face of great opposition.

Aurora Ministries is a part of the Body of Christ with a mandate to be a light in a dark world. We strive to glorify God and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that every believer is empowered by God to transform lives by manifesting the presence and love of Jesus.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17), therefore all interpretations and doctrine is based on the Bible. The Bible is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks.

We believe that:

There is only one God (Isaiah 43:10; Isaiah 44:6, 8; 1 Corinthians 8:5-6)

God manifests Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17;     Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; John 14:16-17; 2 Corinthians13:14).

God is omniscient or "knows all things" (Acts 15:18; 1 John 3:20).

God is omnipotent or "all powerful" (Jeremiah 32:27; Ephesians 3:20; Revelation 19:6).

God is the creator of everything that exists (Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 44:24).

God is infinite and eternal. He has always been God (Psalm 90:2; Acts 17:24).

God is omnipresent (Jeremiah 23:23-24; Psalm 139:7-12).

Jesus' death was a substitutionary sacrifice. He died and paid the price for our sins, so that we might live. (Matthew 20:28; 1 Peter 2:24).

Jesus resurrected from the dead in physical form (Acts 2:32; Acts 5:30-32).

Salvation is a free gift of God; wholly due to God's free grace and not to any human works or goodness. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation. (Romans 4:5-7; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 John 1:8-10).

Water baptism and the Communion are the two ordinances of the Church to be observed until the time of Christ’s return.  Water baptism is an outward sign of identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Communion is a remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and renewal of our commitment to Him. (Matthew 28:19; Romans. 6:3–11; Matthew 26:26–29;1 Corinthians 11:23–34)

The dead will be resurrected. They that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto eternal punishment (Matthew 25:46;  John. 5:25–29; 2 Corinthian 5:1–10;  2 Thessalonians 1:7–10; Revelation 20:11–15; Revelation 21:1–22:15)

God has given the Church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry. Each believer (man/woman) is a priest before God and should be actively involved in a local church community and demonstrating God’s love and power to others. (Matthew:16:17–19; Acts 2:17–18, 42; Ephesians: 4:11–16; Hebrews. 10:23–25; 1 Pet. 2:4–5, 9–10)

The Lord Jesus Christ baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit regenerates and equips Christian so that the gifts of the Holy Spirit, signs and wonders are demonstrated as the Church fulfills its calling and mission. (Matthew. 3:11; John.1:12–13; Acts 4:29–30; Romans 12:3–8; 1 Corinthians 12:12–13; 27-31; 2 Corinthians 1:21–22; Ephesians. 1:13–14
